Should you roll a symbol, treat this as a zero or any other agreed upon number prior to rolling the die. Once play order is determined, players each draw five dice from the 11 starting dice. Both players roll their five starting dice and then the player who is first rolls the remaining die.
Place this single die in the center of the playing area, face up. If you get a match, play it. Otherwise, the turn passes to your opponent. Failing that and you get caught, you must take two dice from the Dice Line and roll your dice again. If there is only one die in the Dice Line, you must then take one die from your opponent. Scoring and winning. All numbered dice — Face value. Wild — 50 points. Alternatively, you can also pick the winner from the player with the best score after 3 or more rounds.
Home - Original Uno Rules Contact. The Action Dice functions Besides the color and number faces on the dice, there are also the Action symbols such as: Draw One : If played, the other player must take one die from the back of the Dice Line, roll all their dice, and miss a turn. A player could be close to winning a round and then be forced to draw a lot of dice putting them right back where they started.
The other problem with only having two players is that players know what the other player needs in order to win the round. This makes it surprisingly difficult to win a round of UNO Dice. Basically you need to get lucky or have the right dice in front of you where you can set up a chain of dice preventing the other player from stopping you.
This ultimately adds a lot of luck and randomness to who wins the game. As far as components you basically get what you would expect out of a Mattel dice game.
You get dice, instructions and a storage container. The dice quality of both versions of UNO Dice is pretty average. They serve their purpose but are far from special.
I personally wish the dice were engraved instead of just painted on since I worry that the paint will fade off after a while. I also think the game could have done a better job making the yellow sides of the dice easier to read. In both versions of the game it is kind of hard to read what is on the yellow sides from a distance. Meanwhile the version comes in the awkward can which is sturdy by kind of a pain to store.
All of the basics are the same as the original card game so fans of the card game will probably also enjoy UNO Dice. This actually leads to a decent amount of strategy as you can play dice that will force the next player to draw dice and you can even put some strategy into preventing a player from winning the game. While these mechanics work pretty well in the three and four player game of the version of the game, the version only supports two players which creates a lot of problems for the game.
Basically UNO Dice is what you would expect it to be, a dice game version of the original card game. I would strongly suggest picking up the version of the game instead of the version though due to the issues with the version. I would only consider purchasing the version if you were only planning on playing the game two player and if you can find it considerably cheaper than the version.

A "Wild" dice can be played and used on any color, number or command listed on the "center die. However, the "Wild Draw Four" die can only be played if the player does not have a die to match the current "center die.
A player with a single die left in her "hand" must proclaim "Uno" on her turn. If the player forgets and is caught by an opposing participant before the start of the next turn, that player must draw and roll two dice from the pouch, if available. If a player uses the final die in her "hand," the round is concluded. The remaining dice in each player's "hand" must now be tallied and is added to the round winner's score.
